1. Liaise with musical director and treasurer regarding the provision of music for the choir
2. Through agencies such as County Library Service, NFMS exchange system and hire libraries, acquire music for performances and other activities of the choir.
3. Arrange for the collection, delivery and where necessary postage of music to and from the source of hire.
4. When hire is not available provide costs for the purchasing of music and liaise with thw treasuruer and music director to agree subsequent action.
5. Arrange photocopying facilities in cases when such action does not infringe Copyright law(s).
6. Arrange for the distribution of music to choir members at rehearsals
7. Make accurate records to ensure all music loaned to members can be traced and that members accept responsibility for the music whilst in their care.
8. Arrange for orchestral copies, conductor’s score and accompanist’s music to be available when needed prior to concerts or rehearsals.
9. Ensure all copies are returned by agreed deadlines, including those who are unable to attend further rehearsals/performances.
10. Collate sets of music for return to libraries.
11. Ensure music is returned in a similar condition to that when received, including the removal of any pencil markings added in the process.
12. Where music is not returned after a concert, or deadline not met, make arrangements with members concerned to return music independently.
13. If music is not forthcoming liaise with treasurer for the purchasing of replacement copies, advising the hire agency to ensure additional costs are not accrued.
14. Liaise with County Library to investigate opportunities to sell on music purchased by the choir. Report outcomes to the committee.
15. Make a report regarding the provision of music to the committee when required.
